Simon Ripley works from his studio in Devon, South West England. He makes large scale monoprints from wood and linoleum, printing them using a family heirloom: an original 1850's Columbian relief press - one of the first iron presses ever made. He comes from a family of printers - his great grandfather established a commercial printers in the 1920's.

After graduating in Fine Art from Plymouth University he helped to set up the Double Elephant Print Workshop in Exeter - an open access resource for artists and printmakers.Simon has been involved in numerous workshops and residencies and is a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.
